Well i have been looking at the neuspeed intake but i think over £200 is quite a lot.
Seen this for a shade over £70 and thought i could get some heat paint and spray it black then fabricate a heat shield like the one you get with the neuspeed. Also seen some of that gold tape jonny used on his intake. Figured if the filter isnt very good quality then i could buy a new one and it would all still be less than £200

I have also been looking at this for a while even if you fabricate a heat sheild and change the filter it will still be cheap compared.

yer, thats my point. Essentially with the more expensive intakes you are paying for a better filter, there cant be much difference in pipes which connect them.
The pipe on that cheap one does look a bit cheap being polished but nothing a lick of heat proof matt black paint cant sort out.
I might go for it and see.
Im sure some very nice person may give me the dimentions for their heat shiels so i can make one? :smiley:
