Title: Can the part that separates the glass on the rear side windows 5dr be replaced?
Post by: clive_gti on September 18, 2012, 12:46:21 pm
As per title - the part that separates the two pieces of glass on the rear door is chipped quite badly on both sides (no idea how).  The outer surface appears to be painted metal and I was wondering if it un-clips and available as a replacement part?

Alternative is to put some black vinyl over them but if the parts are replaceable and cheap enough i'd prefer that route.

I can provide pictures if required.

Thanks,
Clive

Are about £20 each but I think you need to take off the door card or outer skin to get to the bolt.

I think these get stone chipped then rust.

Super.. thanks  :happy2:

Don't like the sound of taking the outer skin off though but i'll enquire with the stealer when it's in for service next week
