Title: Help! 2006 Golf GTI revving, juddering problems
Post by: Meat and 2 Veg on September 18, 2012, 05:57:42 pm
Hi guys and gals,

My GTI started juddering a couple of days ago and revving on it's own between 1 & 2000 revs.

I took it to a garage who said the throttle body, vacum, pipes etc were fine.

They said the vagcom? was showing 2 errors - between the ECU and the turbo.

My heart sunk when they mentioned the word 'turbo' as that normally means a bank loan.

The car still accelerates fine which hopefully suggests that the turbo hasn't gone.

It's due to be assessed by a VW specialist on Thursday.

Any ideas? and what the financial implications are?

Sounds like a combination of faulty pcv and coil pack but without the fault codes we'll just be guessing.

The garage identified the problem and fixed it ... £96 for the part and labour.

They said the breather?/value had disintegrated.

Sounds like a faulty pcv.
