Title: Tyres online?
Post by: craig_t on September 20, 2012, 09:00:04 pm
Hi guys

Can anyone recommend the best/cheapest place to get tyres from online. It's been a while since I needed tyres and iv forgot where I brought them from last.

Camskill is cheapest for vredestein sessantas and pretty competitive for other makes eg Michelin. If you live near a merityre fitting centre they can also be pretty good price wise fitted!

I've just got some new tyres from Camskill. Good price and came the next day. Love tyres came a very close second with only pence in it but they also only had 3 in stock for the ones I wanted.

Camskill again. I got some Goodyear F1 Assy's for £107 a pop a couple of weeks back.
Did a thorough search before buying- was going to get vredesteins but couldn't ignore the ratings for the F1's.
Well chuffed- superb tyres.
Just checked- still at that price :surprised:

Blimey that is cheap!

Just been off to check and they really are £107, £440 for a set delivered but you will then need them fitting and no idea how much that is. Usually get mine through Tyre Shopper and book the fitting at the same time at a place near you. From them, fitted its £510. £70 cheaper from Camskill but need fitting.

I used blackcircles last time - and just selected a local indie from their list to fit them. If you go via quidco you can get cash back too :)

I got Eagle F1's for £106 fitted from tyre-shopper.  About the same price as camskill when you take into fitting etc.  I think black circles were a very similar price too.

I use either blackcircles or tyre shopper, which ever is cheapest then check the cashback websites as previously mentioned, but also check websites like voucher codes for any discount codes.

It's also worth phoning around some Indy tyre fitters.

I used black circles a few years ago and the place that done  the fitting told my to always phone them last when looking for tyres and they will try to beat the best price.

Last time I bought tyres I bought from Camskills because the prices seemed cheap but the only place I could get to fit them charged me £60 to fit 4 tyres wiping out the saving.

Bought my Eagle F1 Assym 2's from Camskill. I reckon with fitting I probably did about £500 which I think is pretty reasonable.  :happy2:
