Money well spent I'd say, I got the progressive map installed and what a nice difference to the car.

Good move . I have this . The difference is amazing .
-
Had mine done just over a week ago. Brilliant isn't it  Car pulls like a train!
-
I keep considering getting my Octavia mapped.... is it really that big a difference? I should find someone who's had it done locally really, I'm sure I'd get on with it if I saw what it went like

Any revo dealer should be able to give you the 5 hour trial
-
Niiice :D How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?
-
Is the five hour trial what it sounds like?

5 hrs driving time trial then reverts back to stock

Usually about £500 and extra if you want an SPS Select Plus Switch. Don't rule out the indy tuners, they are also very good (although not what you asked I know) :happy2:

Awesome!

The car just feels more alive now, like it should have done from the factory. It pulls far harder in the gears but doesn't feel like it wants to pounce all the time when driving normally.
My mpg has improved too. On a long run the other day (with a bit of fun involved too) on some good roads up north I got an extra 10 mpg and I'm getting an extra 5 - 7 mpg through the town. Obviously if you are nailing it everywhere you are down on mpg a fair bit, but thats understandable. Although the remap wasn't cheap, £500 + vat, it will eventually pay itself off. But who cares if it doesn't! I was going to go for the SPS at an additional £150 + vat but the guy at the garage was out of stock. To be honest, you don't really need one of these because the car only behaves like its mapped when you want it to. It would be handy though for putting the car back to standard if going into the dealer etc.
I asked about the 5 hour trial and was told it was no longer available. I don't know if the garage didn't want to give me it or if this is true. He did mention that it wasn't very good for the car's ecu. It also doesn't give you the full remap feeling, only a percentage of it.
Its been a week now and apparently the ecu can take 2 weeks to re-learn your driving style. I wonder if it gets better?? :driver:
