Title: Bmw e36 coupe 328i track/drift car
Post by: craigy123 on September 29, 2012, 07:43:10 pm

Bought this a wee while ago for a total bargain with no mot or tax. Since having it we have completely stripped out the interior (still to tackle the dash properly) painted the wheels black and welded the diff. Goes pretty well so far :hihi
Any reasonably cheap mods recommended?

Next up bucket seats and get rid of the dash.

So being a detailer part time I decided to remove some scratches. Process was to measure paint depth, was an average of around 124 microns, use 2000 grade paper to flatten scratch, use a 3m wool pad and megs #105, then a 3m yellow pad with megs #105 then #205 on a different pad. Then glazed using clearkote red moose via da with chemical guys finishing pad.

Some light marks still visible to the eye close up but a good improvement.

More to come soon hopefully as there is more scratches and bird etching.

M50 manifold should release a fair few horses. Otherwise enjoy!

Awesome!

Just done a track day at Aintree and there was one of these in our session.  It was stripped, caged and on slicks.  It went very very well (but did have a side of filler in ooopsy)

That's on the list of things to buy. Been watching a few on eBay.

Just looking forward to getting it out for some fun  :driver:

Drift kings now lol. I thought it wouldn't be long before you broke out the rotary on it, no AF product shots.
