Title: Calipers painting quote fair??

Hi Guys,

Got quoted 150 euros for 2 calipers painting red for rear S3 set up.

Is it a fair price??

How do I do it?? Surely to be done properly and be durable it must be stripped first and then powder coated or just a paint will do???

Well you say rip off but how long would it take to do 2 calipers and 2 carriers??

My guess is probably about 4 hours if you do a good job.

4 / 150€ = 37.5€ per hour or about 30 quid p/h. Including materials. I don't think that is stupid  money to be honest.

Picking my s3 brakes up tonight which are getting done red. They are sold and part of the deal was they were to go red. Hope to hell they are ok! My opinion is that your quote is expensive.
