My better half named the R. I said that the car was a good all rounder and she said "in that case the car should be called Jessie - after Jessica Ennis"
So Jessie stuck.

I've asked my daughters to name the car and the final, final, final name agreed upon between them is Chitty, a little unfair. Wish I hadn't asked them now, first of all I thought they said Sh*ty so Chitty was an improvement!

Never named any of my cars, but all my work vans have been called murtle. As I try to encourage them to go faster I always say "come on murtle!!"

I'm exactly the same as Phil (even the 1975 part)
.....all my work vans were called "Gert" or "Bertha" or "Myrt".....and even though my cars have always been female too, and often refered to as "she" I can't remember ever naming my cars :ashamed:

Obviously 1975 was a particularly fine vintage monte!! :happy2:

Don't have a name for mine, I didn't think I'd keep it long enough to name it :-/
My old 6n2 polo was called "nemo" because it had one smaller wing mirror on the passenger side :-)
