not all the time but around 60-70% of the time, if i have my window half way down and put my window all the way up, sometimes it then shoots back down to about 2/3 of the way down. i then i have hold the switch to take it back up as it disables the auto function.
it happens on both driver and passenger window.
is there an easy fix for this or has any1 else experienced this and managed to find a fix for it? i had the passenger window motor replaced not too long ago due to the wire snapping but that's not solved the problem on the passenger side.
any help would be great! cheers :happy2:

Think it's the anti-pinch mechanism that's faulty.
-
:popcornsoda: I have the same issue
-
:popcornsoda: glad its not just me then!
is the anti pinch mechanism a part of the window motor + cabling or is this a separate unit?
C'mon someone must have an answer out there?

have you reset the windows ? this probably wont work but worth a try .... hold the window switches up for about 10-15 seconds with the windows all the way up . :happy2:

You need to put the window right the way down, once down, hold the button down for 10-15seconds. Then you will need to put the window right the way up and do the same, hold the button up for 10-15seconds and that should correct it as it just needs resetting.
Hope this helps.

Try both, can't hurt. :happy2:
I had this exact problem a couple of months back and after 30 mins of trying various methods all was well. Only problem, I have no idea which method worked.

It'll come back, mine does. I think it's the guides.

Had this problem on mine for a quite a while. Tried all the different reset procedures I could find which work for a while but then it starts again.
It only happens on the drivers window & I have found that it only does it if I have the window open a couple of inches so if I open it further before closing it will go up on the first attempt

yeah mine did that. when the windows where an inch or two down and i try to put it up, it'll just go back down again.
the reset thing has worked for now but as i said i will come back and update in the future. if this doesnt work i will be digging deeper to find the issue.

I tried yesterday to no avail. Might give it a go on the way home  One more try...

:happy2: still all good! tested a number of times last night and a few times this morning on the way into work. tried opening an inch then taking it back up. all the way down/up etc etc.
anyway it would or normally done it about 10-15+ times by now easy.
fingers crossed it doesnt come back but i will update again in a few days time or if it happens again.
