Title: 12 year rust warranty and service help
Post by: Wallpaper_01 on October 06, 2012, 01:48:55 pm
Just read in the service book that they will fix rust up to 12 years free of charge. this is under the Paintwork and body warranty at the front of the book.

If I go for a service should I ask about this?

Also im at 80000 miles, anything special that needs to be changed, this is my 1st service and looking at the book it says Toothed belt & Tensioning roller was changed at the last service 10,000 miles ago.

Never had a car new enough to service so any advice would be good. Just go to Volkswagon I take it?!

Thanks,

Dan

be careful what you say when you go in as i know a woman who has owned her car from new, its never had paint and is 5 yrs old, both her front wings are rusting (not much but still) i told her about the w3arranty and they said they would pay a 70% goodwill but then wanted £800 off her for the repair, they are making money from this nothing more, speak to RED ROBIN iirc he has a PDF about the warranty
