Post by: Janner_Sy on October 06, 2012, 06:16:32 pm
So, i might be moving further north around the Northallerton area, pretty much half way between Leeds and Newcastle.

Anyone know of the most local tracks?  Hopefully a few nearby.  Theres loads near me in Nottingham so shame i mught have to move.

Elvington isn't too far.  Had enough of 170? Can't think of a better place for tracks!

With trackdays, i like to stay in a a 100 mile radius if possible to keep costs minimized, any further and you need to either leave very early in the morning, or start looking at travel lodges.

So Croft, Elvington, Blyton, and maybe even Donnington if make gives up his spare room for the night......

Not quite as close but there is Blyton and Cadwell Park.

Blyton 95 miles, Cadwell 122 miles.

Elvington isn't too far.  Had enough of 170? Can't think of a better place for tracks!

Elvington 41 miles

not so much ive had enough of Chilwell, i love it there and will be settling there on a permanent basis, but my two years here is almost up, a new abode awaits...

Where you located, Sy?

Im just outside Nottingham at the moment, but might be moving jobs temporarily meaning ill be relocating to Leeming near Northallerton.

Teesside autodrome is 30miles from there and does OPL days. Not sure if it's any good but found it whilst looking for supercar experience days.

Cheers pal, not heard of this one before.  Interesting looking circuit.  Its only a mile long but looks like it might be pretty technical.

Three sisters is wicked. But it's fairly narrow. Better suited to bikes and karting.

I went karting there and had a great time. It's a really good track.

hae you seen my car, it looks like this (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cityoffollybeach.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2011%2F04%2FGolf-Cart2.jpg&hash=6103f28fa857e7a1afe279e583ae2258021c556c)

Chuffed that croft is so close though, means ill save about £60 in fuel every trackday

Oulton Park is around 120 miles away from you :happy2:

Ohh yeah that's true sy... In that case it will be perfect. Do a search on YouTube. I believe there is a clip of a kit car going around it.
