Drove a MK6 1.4 tsi the other day and to my surprise it had an oil temp reading on the computer as I cycled through the functions. I think this is a really cool thing to have.
Can this be done on my mkV Gti? And if so what's involved.
Disappointed the MKV hasn't got it to be honest.

Yeah buy a polar Fis+, one of its many functions allows an oil temperature to be displayed on the highline screen :happy2:

You do know that you can display another parameter in that desktop i.e. six instead of your present five??

iirc you go into display>screen 1 (for your first desktop) and highlight top line>ok then you should get the display screen showing you top left and top right. just choose your options to fill them like you did for the middle and lower parameters.

Looks brilliant, I'll do a bit of research.

Richn is the man. I got mine from him, and I'd not want to be without it now. For me the biggest bonus is it displays a true speed, as it takes it's data from the ECU. So you can see how accurate your speedo is. Incidentally I've compared my FIS+ speed reading with GPS data and it's bang on.

also the boost guage is spot on
