Title: A load of hot air
Post by: Tortaruga on October 07, 2012, 04:52:06 pm
Just noticed today when cruising at 65-70mph. Noticed it was getting hot in the cabin - I didn't have the a/c switched on. Put my hand up to the air vent and there was fairly hot air coming through. Is there something wrong?? Getting free heat without the heating turned on??

Later I was trundling around town at low speeds and there was no hot air coming through.

Thanks

PJ

Maybe one of the flap motors is packing in.

When you change temp from one extreme to the other, do you hear a dryclicking/creaking behind the dash?

VCDS will see this.

Had a similar issue last winter when the arm joint eventually snapped, thus not operating the flap so I was stuck with whatever temp it was at.

I'll give this a go during the week. Cheers for the help.
