Hi,

I've owned a golf Gt Sport 170 for over 3years now. I've been using this forum for a few years for knowledge and diy tips.

The golf is a 57Plate, Relfex silver. When i first bought it, it was fairly standard. I've spent a good few thousand on Genuine Retrofits including Xenon's with autolevellers and washerjets, heated seats, rear view cam, armrest, fire extinghuiser, rns510, cruise, TPMS, bluetooth..and more.

Really trying to get my hands on folding mirrors with puddlelights and 17or18 monza or denver alloys.


Had a fairly good experience with it mechanically, recently had issues with the Intake manifold, it leaked oil/pressure through the gasket that the spindle runs through to the actuator. VW misdiagnosed this and charged me £300 then kept coming up with daft conclusions so sorted it myself, rather painfully.

oh, ive got genuine VCDS aswell, and i live in the Glasgow/paisley area if anyone needs any help.

Get some pics up of your car, sounds like your all done, anything left to do? Are you adding any power or handling mods?

I fired in gti wishbones with powerflex bushes and beefed up the rear swaybar with a r32 one which is slightly thicker, but cant say ive done a great deal else.

Ive always pondered about getting a bluefin but im sceptical as its done 96K.

Will get some pics up tomorrow.

Cheers, i'd prefer if i didnt have all the roadkill on the bumper, haha. A lot of bright reflections aswell, shouldnt complain about the sun in october right enough  :laugh:
