Title: Temperature sensor help!!

Basically the temp on my dash doesn't seem to change much between 8-9 degrees lately even when I woke the other morning at half five to frost all over the car it still read 9  degrees. I am wondering where the sensor is front grill or somewhere?

Also is it a seperate sensor for the dash display or is it part of the engines running system as in intake.

Any help would be great.

Youll see it behind the lower centre grille Passenger side, it's attatched to a bracket on the Fr panel
