Gents as a new owner of a GtI does anyone know if there has been many safety recalls? Mine is an 09 so would hope they have been done?

The only recall on the GTI was the coil recall, but your car being a 09 should be too new for this
I can check on system if there is outstanding campaigns /recalls with your car details.

Don't think the coilpack was an official recall so doesn't show up on here. Just for dealers to check when they had cars in, or when this excellent forum sent all us owners in for our free coilpacks :happy2:

The coilpack "recall" doesn't show up as the term recall only applies to things that directly affect safety.

It would have been called the coilpack campaign or Technical Bulletin.

My car is an 07 plate and was too new for the coil pack recall so yours should be fine.
