does anyone out there have a picture of what the 5K0 Phone kit looks like fitted
thinking of a rns510 j with bluetooth phone ability but seemingly i need this kit to make it happen but have no idea what it looks like in the car
not sure if it would look intrusive or like a cheap plug in so any pics would greatly help

The 5k0 uses the rns510 screen? The unit can seat under your seat or behind the dash

the control box lives under the drivers seat
it will display on the RNS

Have a look at my build thread, but back a page or 2 and you will see what it looks like on screen. No pictures of the box itself tho

Not mine, but something like this when it has its cover in place. You wouldn't know it's there. As Eddie says, it goes under your drivers seat.

Not mine, but something like this when it has its cover in place. You wouldn't know it's there. As Eddie says, it goes under your drivers seat.

yep stupid me,,, of course the unit is hidden,,,, sorry guys,,,, trying to find out about to many systems, parts at same time,,, i guess the only question would be whether to put it under the seat or not,,, any preference on that ?

Mine is mounted in the glovebox where the document wallet would sit, purely just to save having to run the cables to under the drivers seat, I also fitted my DAB ariel and the mic through the passenger side at the same time to save removing too many parts of trim

Why put it anywhere else as It's out the way there. The only other thing you might put under your seat is a drawer and there may well be room for both, ask Eddie.

I put my box under the storage cubby behind the gearstick. I don't have the pipe that goes to armrest vents so enough room to fit it. Plus saved time and effort with the wiring, just dropped it down from the stereo :happy2:

thanks for that, have arranged install from golfman with unit coming from eddie and golfman says he will put it under the drivers seat,,, seems nice and tidy there so great.
im currently trying to find out the difference between the rns510 h and j version before i buy from eddie but having a bit of trouble trying to find anything out
does anyone know anything
