Title: What is the difference in engine parts from ED30 to GTi
Post by: WILLZIE on June 15, 2009, 10:03:09 pm
I know the ED30 has more BHP standard, but can the GTi be tuned to the same standard spec, then tuned to the same as a modded ED30?-if that makes sense!
(Is it just a bigger Turbo or is there more complicated like pistons etc???)

Thanks.

I was hoping it was just the bigger Turbo , pistons, ratio etc. Makes sense as I heard you get more BHP in the ED30 in the end as opposed to the GTi.
265 BHP max - thought the GTI can be tuned to more than that!

A few tuners have taken the GTI to about 380 BHP with standard internals i believe.  :happy2:

APR stage 3 is an example, torque is the same as the K04 kit but about 380HP.
