Hi guys,
I know this topic has been raised numerous times before but im in need of some help and i can't find the exact answer im looking for.
So my car is stutering to a start from cold then hunts for revs before ideling fine. I have replaced spark plugs coils and inspected the DV and battery all in line with previous topics everything is fine. When warm the car is brilliant and seems to hold boost and pull hard to redline.
The car is a 2008 mk5 golf gti ko3 running stage two shark software and accociated components (this problem existed with and without components and software)
With some other research im led to belive that it could be a temperature sensor on the coolant system this is diagnosed by the engine fan not always running when the engine is warm sometimes the AC must be put on and then off and both fans start and stop perfectly.
I have uploaded a video to youtube
Hope someone can help will get the car on VCDS asap.
Cheers Campbell.

Have you replaced the spark plugs as well or just the coils?
-
Yeah mate replaced the sparks at the last service about 4,000 miles ago.
-
Following on then from my last comment, wat plugs have u changed from and to?? :-o
-
Now that is a question :stupid:
It was done at dealer so im assuming OEM but then you never know.
It has been doing this prior to the service and after i might take the plugs out and have a look i assumed they were changed but now im starting to doubt this.

Sounds like your PCV is sticking and giving some throttle cures it. Might be a good idea to change also your fuel filter, as its not part of normal service schedule (atleast in my country).

I would do what the others have said and have your car scanned for any fault codes that may be stored.

Thanks for the replys guys much appreciated :drinking:
Ill get my sparks changed again asap
Is there any specific way to test the pcv valve?
Cheers.
