Title: R32/Ed30 Rear Lights
Post by: ArildStavrum on October 19, 2012, 11:04:23 am: I fancy getting a set of R32/ED30 (are they basically the same?) rear lights for my GTI.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best place to pick them up?

Awesome GTI have them for £227
Ebay has them for £182

i decided to buy the above, i did call Awesome GTI but they couldn't match the price.

I ordered a single unit last week as i thought i better change it ,after i tried lots of things to stop it. And when i swapped them over i was very surprised by the amount of water that came out of it. Is this a common problem ?

It is actually just a fit problem. I took my old one off to dry out a couple of times but turns out my error was not securing it extremely tight to the car. I only had the nuts finger tight but tightening them with a spanner to the body of the cars pulls the unit together and creates the seal.

I'm thinking the same thing and was also looking at these. might have to join you in the R32/ED30 look :happy2:

Probably because the lights reflectors are tinted, but they are still there.
