The father in law has the previous evolution of the Dunlops on his 3 series BMW and can't praise them highly enough.

Now is it me or have winter  tyres really gone up in price the last couple of years??

I have noticed that as I'm looking for tyres for the other halfs fiesta and they are neaerly as expensive as some premium brands for my 18's.

Adding more links to the top, apparently the new Michelin winter tyre has been developed with Porsche and Merc recomends them for its AMG models

Wonder why there was no Vredestein tyre in the test.....

Good link though :happy2: very useful.

Now awareness & of course demand has risen, good old market forces will drive winter tyre prices up. Keep an eye on the tyre websites as the forecasts get worse. I've seen winter hoops double in price over a two week period. During one cold snap a couple of years ago, one tyre site was advertising Vred Wintrac Xtreme tyres for £250 each

Alot depends on the magazine performing the test, the country the magazine is from and what tyres are available there and what tyre size they use as to weather that tyre size is available from all manufacterers.

Yup, I agree. As Vredestein come through the Netherlands, I was surprised they didn't feature in the test. Or maybe they simply didn't submit tyres for testing....
