I have michellin pilot sports 223/35/R19/88/Y and already in need of a change after 6months! i have covered around 7500 miles in them so far!
-
Well i did 14,000 on my winter tyres and they still have 4mm left on them. Normally get 12 - 15,000 out of summer tyre, but i do a fair bit of motorway mileage. :happy2:
-
There are really too many variables to get a sound answer to this one.
My 08 gt tdi sport still has the orignal michelin on it after 4yrs & 67,000 miles, but i guess its been on the rear from new. The side walls are showing perish signs.
Generally i would want 26,000 miles of motorway driving from my tyres.

for spirited road driving thats about the minimum i'd expect. I've done a set of PS2 fronts in about 8k before so its not outside the realms of probability that you've just used them up.

I had some Avons on first and they lasted 6k and now have continental contact sport3 and lasted 7k

I'm on the second set of PS3 both sets have lasted 2years if that helps.
-
A pair of Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics lasted me 8000 miles on the front of Mk5 TDI.
I`ve done nearly 20,000 on the same tyre fitted to an Impreza STi. Doesn`t really make sense.
The TDI must have a heavy front end. Then again I replced the Goodyears on the Golf with Michelin PS3s and they`ve done 8k miles and are only part worn
-
around 5/6 for me  i try rotate as much as possible.
-
Googyear F1v2 fitted at 41700miles... now done ~59000miles. So thats about 17500miles by my maths. They are just above the 1.6mm markers.
I do a lot of motorway miles, but also a lot of fast road miles too (I do use it properly :driver: ).... I'm very happy with the wear on them.
-
Conti 3s only 8000 miles and not Been chasing on just odd blast now an then :driver:
-
Got 24,000 miles out of the set of PS2's I just changed
-
Got a good price for some new tyres £166 per tyre Michellin Pilot Sports not fitted price though!
-
You boys are hard on the tyres! I'd definately get your tracking/geometry set when you fit your next set of tyres. Laser track is only £25 and full geo about £65. Well worth the money. I'd be unhappy at only getting 8,000 from ps2's. I have Bridgestone potenzas on my caddy. They haven't been on long so can't comment on wear. The previous firestones that were on have done over 20,000 but that was just on standard steels (running 225/35/19 now)

Get Quattro, they'll last a hell of a lot longer :signLOL:
-
Yeah... You'll also get bored at twice the rate....... *poker face*

My front PS3's have lasted bout 18 mths and 8k miles, quite a spirited driver when get the chance, rears r still at bout 6mm
