When I lived in Pakistan there was this goat that nextdoor had outside my bedroom window.

Strangely enough it went a bit quiet following Eid.

Eid is a pain in my a$$ lol.

All my Contractors have just disappeared for 5 days and left a load of unfinished concrete mid pour which will now have to ripped out and reinstalled!!!

To be fair I enjoyed both but for different reasons. Didn't enjoy the Amoebic Dysentery plus it's lingering side effects though.  :sad1:

Im not the site supervisor, thats managed by them,  Im the Project Manager of multiple projects for DFiD, but its just this one project thats ruining my world at the moment.

The Construction Manager assured me the pour would be finished before they left.  He thought it was hilarious when i phoned him as well.  Thank god im finished with this job in a few weeks.  I have the last laugh though, because they have to foot the bill themselves.

To be fair, i think Eid came a day earlier than was originally forecast

Those who've not booked the day off have brought in lots of delicious food for us all, I love religious holidays, other faiths take them really seriously and celebrate large. Xmas and Easter just seem commercial to me these days, aside from the fact I'm atheist.

Maybe the Daily Mail should join in, might lighten them up a bit.

The food is the best thing about visiting all my projects  The food is amazing and the hospitality unbelievable.

Oh yes. I was at our Lithuanian office a few months back and I was treated like a long lost member of the family. I came back a stone heavier!

India, Singapore and NYC on business next year hopefully.

Food is a brilliant way of stepping into another culture.
