Got in my car today, started it up, put it in D there was no drive and the engine just rev'd free. I tried R and S still no good so put it back in park and tried again still nothing.
So I turned the car off and restarted it and it was fine, gave it a little hammering on the way to work and it was faultless, has any one come accross this before and should I be worried?
cheers guys

If I had a DSG car that did that , I would be worried

is giving it a little hammering not unwise too?
I would get it checked asap!

Well when I say a little hammering that was at the end of an 8 mile trip, just tried my car again and it was fine. Also just spoke to my local speciallist and he said it might just be a one off but if it does it again to get it in the check for fault codes and the dredded M word was mentioned!!
I can be the first pearson to have this!?!

If I had a DSG car that did that , I'd be part-exing it into the nearest dealer asap :happy2:

All jokes aside, if it is the M, have a read here: http://www.ecutesting.com/vw_and_audi_dsg_gearbox_ecu.html
