Just popped out in the car and after a few minutes noticed the exhaust system light was on, no audible warning, car is running fine. Any ideas?

Without a vagcom or scan it's gonna be hard to tell what's wrong!

Have you recently changed fuel? I had this just after I brought the car filled up on super and about 3hours of driving later the light came on, I had it scanned and I was told it was nothing to worry about and the precious owner probably used normal unleaded and it came to a shock to the car when I filled it up with super and the car was just adjusting. The cars bednfine ever since.

Yeah I have changed fuel, always use momentum, but had to fill up on normal as the garage had no higher grade fuels. Will the light go out on its own as I've now filled up with momentum? Thanks for the reply

Yes I carried on driving mine and when I looked down I noticed the light had gone off but when I got it scanned I was told to stick to super unleaded because they prefere it and run better on it.
Personally I wouldn't worry about it if the lights gone just stick to super, once my light disappeared it hasn't come back and that was over a week ago now and still running like a dream :happy2:

The light will probably disappear after a number of key cycles. That doesn't mean the fault has gone though.
Get it scanned.
