Title: Courier prices/recommendations for tyres?
Post by: jimmy-s3 on October 28, 2012, 01:12:22 pm
Has anyone had tyres picked up/delivered  through a courier?
What were you charged and who did you use?

Thanks....

I've sent part worn tyres that I've sold on eBay.  I send using CityLink, costs just over £9 per tyre.

For tyres you're better getting the dimensions and approx weight (stack them in two's maybe) and going to interparcel, parcelmonkey or the one above and getting a quote yourself.
Usually they're happy to accept them in strong black bags with tyres taped together, although a wrapping of bubblewrap/cardboard would be nice at least.

The likes of PF are great for interiors and alloy/tyre combo's, but pretty sure I got two 17" tyres picked up and delivered next day for £9.50ish early in the year.

As mentioned, paisley freight. £32 for 4 alloy wheels with tyres, so one would assume 4 tyres would be cheaper. :happy2:

I've always used directcouriersolutions for picking up alloys, posting alloys and never had a problem, always good service.

Try http://www.interparcel.com

They check all the different couriers for you.  Interparcel economy is always UPS for me who seem very good.  I've TNT before but they failed a collection saying I wasn't in but didn't knock
