Title: DSG Gear Knob Text colour infill..
Post by: Mikeygtir on October 29, 2012, 12:35:51 pm
Heres a bit of a random question.. and not one I'm sure has been asked before..

But.. i was sitting in the car the other day waiting on swmbo and was looking around the car (only had it a month and a bit) and was looking at the gear stick..

The DSG "badge" is just the same colour as the gear knob itself.

I cant imagine that it would take too much effort to fill the recessed badge in, say with red, to make it stand out.. but the next question would be - whats the best paint to do this with? a plastic specific paint?

And yes.. i do have too much time on my hands to worry about such trivial stuff.. lol

Surely i cant be alone in wondering what it would look like?

.
Unless it's properly enamalled or done by a very permanent method, it is likely to gradually wear off and consequently look very tatty.

Personally I think it would look very fussy anyway but we each like different things.
