Title: What next after a GTI?

Just been dreaming :smiley: on pistonheads and autotrader and had a thought that nothing really floats my boat more than modifying my GTI.

Those of you who moved on, what did you buy and how does it compare? Any regrets?

I know lots of people will say ed30/Pirelli/R and modify and that's fair enough but if not a golf what else? I can only see running 2 cars, one being for fun the other for daily use being a step forward nothing I can see out there to compete as a do it all car.

Lots of want for an M135i at the moment. As far as all rounders go that looks like the complete package. Seriously considering one next August/September.

New s4. Easy tunable over 400bhp and quattro. While still being a similar size to a golf albeit with an extra bit of boot

If, and its a big if I ever decide to move on from my current gti I would be looking for either another newer mk5 (ed30) or possibly a mk6 if they grow on me enough, but I do love an S3 sportback.
