Title: Anybody heard of these?
Post by: nathangallo on October 30, 2012, 10:35:33 pm
http://www.celtictuning.co.uk/

Was bored in work so popped into my local vw specialist to see what they had on offer and started talking about maps

They said its a new company they are using at a low entry price which is what's swaying me a tad!

Looked on the website and the gains seem a bit to good to be true!

265bhp
281lbft.

Would be cool to get some feedback :)

There's been a Celtic Tuning around for years.

The words 'mobile' and 'aggressive maps' are what I picked up from other forums over the years.
However, have never used their product.

I've had one of there maps on my old polo 1.9tdi 100bhp they ended up mapping it to 150 ish bhp with something like 340ftlb of torque it destroyed the clutch within a week and half and that wasn't driving stupid. They said they never mapped a polo like mine before so I'm guessing I was a test dummy, so from personal experience AVOID!!!!! Also a friend's dad had it mondeo st tdci done by them and the figures were way under what they quoted when he went and got it dyno'd.

.
IIRC, there has been a thread posted about them on this forum before (Search?) - No-one had a good word for them and there was plenty of advice to stay away.
