Title: Success ESP Failure FOC
Post by: Mertyvw on October 31, 2012, 07:11:22 pm
Hi guys this is to update everyone about the ESP Module Failure which I had

1 Fault Found:
01435 - Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201)
012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit

Above was which Mvb12 found and after you guys at the forum and following a facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/176599647076/ (https://www.facebook.com/groups/176599647076/)

On Monday i booked it in with Alan Day Volkswagen in Southgate and I said to the booking guy that i have the common fault G201 on my car as the ESP light is on constantly on dash and he disagreed to say that How would I know that this is a common fault and that it It is done For Free i reminded him with the forum, Facebook and Dom Littewood;s "Don't Get Done Get Dom" programme and ten he kind of agreed to say that until we do the diagnostics we ant say anything and if it isn't the fault i would have to pay £144.00 for a diagnostic check or if it is the common fault all services would be for FREE. + a Valet  :happy2: So I booked it in for this morning and they called me at 5pm to say its all complete

The outcome: Everything was for Free, the invoice was to Warranty Department although I don't Have a warranty and IM HAPPY  :driver:

So to let other members Know as well if they are not aware

Any car (VAG VW/SKODA mainly) 2004 to 2008 (regardless of criteria) with this failure is entitled to a 'free repair' as a retrospective warranty recall because VW had a duty under Sale and Supply of Goods & Services Act 1979 to do so in 2007-08

Thank you
