My friend has just phoned me, saying both front tyres are worn right down to the bone with blisters on the inside edge both tyres. Audi are saying he has hit a curb and knocked the alignment out. Surely if he had hit a curb the wear would be on the inside of the opposite wheel and the outside of the wheel that was alleged to have hit the curb.
Also the tyres are bridgestones. Are these the tyres that our members were talking about doing this to the inside edge of the tyres. Audi want 800 quid for 2 new tyres and an alignment. :signLOL:

Is there proof that he has hit a curb?
If one wheel is knocked out so there is toe out then this affects both sides as to then drive straight both the wheels will have toe out. Then both the inside edges will wear out.
Is the car a Q7 running 22's as those tyre prices are crazy?!

Inside edge of both would imply massive camber or toe out. I think he would have noticed the car wandering around with a load of toe-out?

2 tyres elsewhere and a £70 laser geo, as I guarantee the rears will be on the piss out of the factory, as they always are so it'll be of benefit regardless.

I think the £800 might have been with the first year service, which is what the car was in for when they spotted the tyres. he has rung them back since and told them to run and jump. straight away they came back with free alignment and 2 new tyres at cost. :smiley:

That made me laugh. I know see why dealers are called stealers they actually take the mickey.
