Anyone done this?
Its getting cold and following this apparently you get warm air after 30 seconds!
-
Thought that this was only for diesels...
-
Well by the looks of things, can be fitted to GTi's also? :ashamed:
-
There are two diff versions. E comes with "mainboard" inside, F - without.
-
would love to do this on my caddy tdi... takes ages to heat up
wonder if its the same bits.
-
Mmmm... I love my heated seats this time of year!
-
They are normally fitted to TDI's.
I have a spare one if anyone fancies a retrofit

Mine packed in last year, replaced it and wished I didn't bother.
It turns really cold air to almost lukewarm in a few minutes, don't expect instant warm air!
-
Put version E in about a year ago, it does help u defrost the windscreen a little quicker, but as said its lukewarm, its a 1kw heater which on 12 volts can draw 80 amps, VW changed the spec after a few years due to poor connections heating up and causing fire, unfortunately if you want to add to gti you will need version E as it connects to can bus version F runs off diesel ecu, so cannot be Retro fitted, there also really hard to come by as everyone has F's but no E's

Just get one of these
