So I'm after some advice on which S&D combo to go for. I'm looking for something that has similar ride comfort to stock and isn't too low that it will cause issues going over speed bumps etc...
I'm not fussed about adjustable ride height or stiffness as the cars my daily drive & most likely wont be tracked. I want dampers that aren't gonna corrode like mad and won't start leaking after a few years of use.
I was thinking of going for the Eibach B12 kit. Do they do DSG versions, how many versions are there.
My car currently has VWR,
Springs
Lower engine/transmission mount
Front & rear ARBs
WALK
Can anyone recommend S&Ds that would compliment this setup well

I have a bilsten b12 kit and I'm really happy with it.
The ride isn't too harsh but it is only 20mm lower.
Can you not get any shocks to go with your current springs?
There is a set here http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,56057.0.html

Thanks for the link. They seem decent but the seller mentions one of the strut mount Allen key holes has sheared off. Should this be a problem? Also don't they come with Eibach sportlines. Ones for sale have H&R's. Are both manual and DSG versions the same?

Also getting dampers for my VWR springs is a good shout and something I was gonna do but not sure which ones to go for...

Manal and DSG do come with different springs.

I guess the one posted is no good for a DSG?

these were originally mine. The allen key hole in the top doesn't make any difference at all as they are built up already so is a case of remove your old and refit these. They did originally come with h&r springs then the company changed spring suppliers and went over to eibach. I had a set of eibach springs but they didn't seem to sit low enough for my likings so i bought the h&r's brand new. They sat lovely and give a great ride not to dis-similar to stock but when pushed hard very capable. You deffo wont be disappointed if you go with this setup. Hth. :happy2:
