Never used it on my golf but I service our Passat 2.0 20v myself and always use that or something similar when carrying out an oil change. You'll normally see some sort of engine flush on the parts list when you get your car serviced.

Hi there,
I personally wouldn't use engine flush on a modern engine. With the additives in modern oils there should be no requirement for it. I'm sure I've read info that it may be damaging? But I have have read many things on folks saying do not use.

I used this about 18 months ago on my diesel. It developed a bit of a tapping noise one day, so ran some Wynn's through it followed by an immediate oil change and the noise went, never to resurface.
If you use it, follow the instructions exactly and have the oil/filter/sump guard off etc & all ready to go, so it isn't in the engine longer than it has to be.

Personally I wouldn't use Wynns as it is designed for more basic engines. Forte make a flush which is probably the best on the market. It is what most specialists use.
