Hi guys
My names john , im from northampton , just bought my first ever vw , a 2006 mk5 golf gti :driver:
Its my 9th car in 9 years lol , car history so far is below
Mk3 fiesta xr2i
Mk4 astra sri 2.0
Mr2 turbo
Vauxhall vivaro van :ashamed:
Astra coupe turbo
2003 audi s3
2004 audi a4 s line
2003 impreza sti
That brings us to now , on saturday i picked up the golf gti
2006 golf gti
3 door
Red
Full heated leather
Sat nav
Dsg with paddles
77k with 1 lady owner , full vw service history , paid £6850 with 12 months mot , 6 months tax
So far im very impressed with the car , at first it felt sluggish compared to the scooby but i think its due to how quiet and smooth it is ,im loving all the toys and the heated seats, dual climate etc , one thing i missed from the audi"s when i bought the scooby , but the biggest impression so far is the dsg box , its far better than i ever expected , so super smooth , once ive given it a good clean at the weekend ill get some pics up
Had a good look on here and seems a great forum with loads of info , looking forward to being part of it :happy2:

Welcome along! :drinking:
Sounds like a beauty, get them pics up ASAP. Correct amount of door and the fastest colour too
So, if your car history is anything to go by, you'll be here for a year and move on..... :signLOL:

This time though he's bought a car with a big personality - think he'll have it for more than a year!
Welcome btw

^^^^ your not wrong!
Had my Eddy 10 months and I'm hooked! Never kept a car for long myself but can't see myself selling this one for a few years yet, no idea what I'd change it for that would be a more all round car.
:happy2:
