Title: Hella r32 tail lights: vag com?

I have ordered these lights:

They should be here tomorrow but i'm thinking, will i need vag com to get them to work?

I wouldn't have thought so as they are the same as the normal lights with a darker tint so they should be plug and play

HI mate,

I bought these and had them fitted last week - as far as i know it took the vw indy garage i used about 20 minutes - its a straight swop.

Note - these are not genuine r32 lights but good copies according to the mechanic.

I was annoyed as he/she is selling them as genuine lights.

Are they just tinted standard lights then?

I've no idea. Mine came in a nice yellow hella box but the vw Indy specialist thought they were just good r32 /ed30 copies.
They still look great in my opinion!!

I believe they have a slightly darker tint than the OEM r32/ed30 lights but as they are hello I would imagine the quality would be good

Yeah they make the car look 10x better. This is the first of many mods  :wink:
