I have a standard ed 30 which on arrange was getting just over 30mpg, i fitted the Neuspeed P-Flo intake 2 days ago and now its only averaging 22mpg, anyone any ideas, the car isnt mapped

Most likely your MAF sensor. Check it's installed into the new intake correctly. If it is, it could have been damaged when you installed the intake.

I agree, the maf may well be fitted back to front. The open end needs to face the incoming air.

as per previous posts

how can it be the wrong way around when it fits on its side

See this a lot, it's usually due to the driver using the throttle in a different way to create the intake sound.
Also check the joint between the turbo and inlet (awkward one at top left corner behind cylinder head) as this often gets fitted incorrectly due to its location.
