I've seen so many examples of really bad or illegal driving I've always wished I had a camera to record it.
Does anyone have a dash cam in their car or can recommend any models?
-
Google these, I've been looking into it also.
Blackvue
Road hawk
I'm liking the black vue.

One was displayed on a stand at top gear live, I've got an air freshener with the name on (freebie). Will see if I can find it.

They look pretty good but also pretty expensive. Are there cheaper ones perhaps without GPS etc?
-
Just type "car dash camera" in ebay, they are from about 20 quid :happy2:

My Blackvue DR400G-HD II:
Yes you can buy the cheaper non GPS Blackvue version, but if you needed to use it as evidence then the GPS could be invaluable (it would also prove you were not speeding…. providing you weren’t!!)

My Blackvue DR400G-HD II:
Did you drive through a red light at 0:05????
-
How long does the battery on a Blackvue last if you don't have it wired in?
-
Read the title and you will see the car was on an extended test drive by the fitter after some warranty work…. and yes he did go through a red light :stupid:
They are powered by the car, there is no internal battery inside them.

What title? It may be an iPad thing but I can't see a title.

Been looking at these on and off. Bit dubious about the GPS version with regards to logging your speed. It will always show you going faster than you are. I may be wrong.

More likely the opposite, I find the GPS speed on my sat nav and my snooper are both lower than the speedo on the car. I think they are more accurate and the speedo is always over.
