Do these work direct with the Forge quickshifter by replacing the plastic bush? Steve at Statllers recommended them as a good mini mod.
Looks like there are two different kits on Awesme Gti site one for 2008-2009 cars, mine is a 57 reg 08 build so does anyone else have the 08-09 kit on a similiar car?

Been looking at these aswell, but the ones i need for my '07 car awesome gti don't list...
I need the MY06 ones for some reason... :signLOL:
-
I found them to be a great little mod. Nice quality direct feel.
I've added Alexs AKS Shifter bracket bushes too to finish it off :)
-
Best thing is to go on the 42dd website and check exactly which kit you need. Awesome list the part numbers so you can match them up. Some of the kits have different part numbers but are the same bushes in the pack. So the mk1 tt kit is the same as one of the golf kits etc.

having no luck at all with this mod :fighting:
got the right kit back from awesome ( i had the right one to start with so was my fault)
fitted front to back bushes.
the side to side fit in the rectangular bush so was looking all good. however, the bush wont fit over the actual pivot pin.
the pin is 10mm in circumference and the hole in the bushing 8mm - :stupid:
anyone else had this problem?
-
Yes had to make the hole bigger to suit lol...

so you had to drill out the bush, but will the copper not all have gone then
-
Not on mine, the hole size had to be increased to fit over my forge short shifter...
but as far as i am aware, the correct size can be got, its just a matter of telling them you have the forge short shifter :happy2:

Instructions are on their website, Print them off their easy to follow

hi phil, thanks for reply. what so they have instructions to remedy this particular issue....
-
right, so think the forge side to side shifter comes with two pins, so have to go and rummage in the garage for the 8mm pin and take off the 10 mm pin, hopefully should then be ok
-
spoke to John at 42 Draft he is sending me out some 10mm side to side bushings :pomppomp:
-
Nice one :happy2:
