why would anyone want to buy some sub standard Chinese sh*te stereo that you've so obviously become a member just to flog on here as your only on 3 posts.
-
How the hell would you know it's sh*te when you ain't even seen or tried one before. Don't make accusations when you ain't even got a clue.
I ain't flogging nothing and not advertising anything. I just posted this as a suggestion to the community. I've got this unit and am happy with it. I'm not forcing anyone to buy it. People can make there own minds up.
As for the 3 posts, I'm new to this and never felt the need to post anything before.
So don't be a nob!

If this turns into a fight Ill take on the loser. :popcornsoda: :signLOL:
-
Not here to fight AA.
Just can't stand people who ain't got a clue! Or read a post correctly.

Bloody good job you edited your post, before everyone else saw what you we're calling other members! I didn't miss it though!

Yes moz,
As I said earlier I'm new to this! :happy2:

OK, so lesson one - don't come wading in to an online community without... posting in the new members forum, getting yourself established and known as someone who is here for genuine reasons. We're all decent people on here but are sceptical as to those that come on pushing product within the few posts. I've got no reason to doubt you're integrity but others might be less forgiving Lesson two - check out the forum rules, you're not going to win friends on here by calling other users defamatory names - whether you think the sentiment or not. I come on here to get away from work, not to read more childish posts. :stupid: So everyone, let's start again.....
-
Dom,
I'm down with that too. Shame others aren't. You put a sensible post on here and people slate you for it. If you don't like the head unit your entitled to have your opinion but don't slate others for providing the suggestion.
:happy2:
-
Yas - if you are new to posting on forums you may also want to think about starting threads with block capitals :happy2: people will think you are shouting at them :signLOL:
-
Thanks for the advice Dom. I've posted in the new members section.

The title would suggest that you yourself have not tried the RNS510 matey.
I doubt that Anyone that has owned the RNS would say that they are not happy with its features.
Maybe you could take some shots of the Elisins different screens or maybe a video so we can see first hand?
I personally haven't tried one of these Chinese copies, but I can say that just from the pictures that they look crap.
Just my opinion of course. :innocent:

Hi monte,
I have tried the rns510 and it's a great head unit and I'm not for one second doubting it. The reason why I went for the erisin one was because it was a lot cheaper, it's also got cool features like tv and built in mic for bluetooth etc. the sat nav uses igo maps which is very good as well. You don't need any external modules. There are a few other reasons aswell. The build quality isn't cheap either. Yes it has got resistive touch screen but you get what you pay for and it's no boggy for me.
All in all looks great when fitted and gives me all the features I need.
I was quoted over £2000 to fit a brand new 510 with Bluetooth. This cost me £300 all in fitted.
-
Ahh that quote must have been from VW - that would be lesson three; don't buy from the dealers :signLOL:
Plenty of really good guys and girls on here that sell new and use bits so always a great place too look.
Having said that £300 for all those features sounds like a pretty good deal.
Welcome by the way

you guys are legendary! Hope my Erisin head unit achieves that status! :innocent:
-
seen them on ebay, loads of features for the money, has anyone compared the sound quality with more expensive units?
-
gets soem pics posted does it do div x playback i had one in my mk4 and to say it was chineese cheap crap is a massive understatement it worked flawlesly for 2 years till i sold it , was a great bit of kit think theres a big thread on ukmkivs on it, one thing i hate with my rns is that u cant play divx files
-
ive got one in mine fantastic bit of kit had mine for 2 years now not one fault
good thing about the erisin company is that you can haggle on the price i got them down to £225
be careful as some customers have ended up with units tht dont function properly i.e my brother thou was quickly replaced
there are a few things that need addressing the interface is a bit tacky and sumtimes slow
but all in all does what its meant to do
regarding divx it does play them

The RNS and RCD series headunits only have resistive touch screens too, I think the capacitive screens will come into play in the Mk7 stereos :happy2:
sometimes capacitive screens can be a little too sensitive (on phones for example) so I don't know what they'll be like in a car...
