Finally got myself a proper motor. Still got the mk3 tdi as the daily. Left it into Big Pete at PMG Autocare, Ballyclare, Northern Ireland last week for a one day paint enhancement, top job!
A week later it was stinking so cleaned it this morning and applied a coat of Dodo Juice Orange Crush which I think does wonders for tornado red.
Plans are 18'' Monza II's and that's pretty much it, maybe coilovers down the line.
Couple of nice mods came on it, Custom cat back stainless system, remap to 240bhp and its lowered slightly on springs.
What you's think?

Hi I payed £155 for them + £9.60 delivery. Took about 7 days to come by DHL. At 6pm every Friday, the prices drop lower again until Sunday night, that's how I got mine so cheap. Got some cleaning stuff aswell and was still charged £9.60 all in for delivery, well chuffed.
As for right hand drive I believe they can be changed from Left to right as there is a small allignment type switch that says R on one side and L on the other. Hope this answers your question. They are still there here is the link

Full genuine major service kit bought and Leon Cupra top mounts as mine are ready for the bin, supposedly 20% stiffer too. Unbeatable prices from Davey at SERE Belfast once again, smashed TPS and dealers quote!!
If anyone needs anything vag part wise (mainly Seat) give him a shout on 02890 385336. He also posts a lot of stuff across the water to the SeatCupra.net boys!! Best prices around.
Joe

Thanks man, havn't decided what what route to take with it yet, tempted by wheels and coilovers in the near future but may just go for more performance instead

Updates so far are a set of fitted mudflaps, new plate surrounds, pressed plates and a black front VW badge. I also fitted factory style xenon projector headlights with a 5k Hid kit last week. Really freshens up the front end and looks totally oem, very impressed with them.
In for a full major service today including new pcv and diverter valve.
Here are a few pics from the trip from Larne - Derry/L.Derry to collect my mate's new Clio 182. Was a good run!

Thanks man I haven't planned to do any colour coding yet but might if I go down the route of adding some Ed 30 bits.
-
looking good mate.
Thanks Shaun believe it or not browsing through your thread earlier made me get the finger out and update mine. Yours looks a stunning example and i'm going to try and set up my XYZ coilovers to a very similar height to yours in this pic. I have also toyed with Alphards but every other 17 year old has them on a clapped out mk4 Golf/Leon/Toledo/Jetta etc etc over here in Northern Ireland and they have a certain stigma attached to them because of this lol.
I will have a set someday though lol your GTI is stunning they are a lovely rim.
Quick question did you have any rubbing issues at this height ??

Lovely, watching this thread dude :happy2:
-
thanks for the kind words mate , on that picture I sometimes used to get a little bit of rubbing mainly when turning since then though I have rolled the wings and its lower now
keep it up though watching this thread :happy2:
