Post by: ReeceH13 on November 17, 2012, 02:08:37 pm
All,

do you think these are nice or tacky? (no offence to anyone who has them!!) If anyone has them with pics would be great...

Personally I think these do not fit with the image of the GTI so I would not buy them.

Baz, I make you right mate  :happy2:. But I was thinking they do look tacky-ish but just wanted opinions : )

Anyone know where I can get some plain black or red centres?

.
Hmm, it's difficult to see if they are as well finished as the photo suggests but I bet these would look very good on the right wheel. For example on an anthracite or black Team Dynamics alloy. They'd look good on my OZ Titanium Alleggerita's except that the OZ carbon centres look better!

I don't think they would look right on a Monza.

Definite no go in my opinion.
But, its your car, your rules. :)

Haha I think it's safe to say these are a no go. My inner chat was telling me yes haha. RR you're right it depends on the wheel but I see that it wouldn't go on the Monza

would look good on black alloys, or black or red gti, you do what you want, strive to be individual. what a boring world it would be if everyone had the "same spec named exhaust, named vw head unit, named  vw wheels," etc etc etc etc boring!!!!!!!!! :happy2:

If they are just stick-on, then most definitely a no-no on any wheel. But if well made with proper inlay and the whole centre cap, then subject to the alloy wheel (not Monza unless black) they might look cool in the flesh.
