Title: 5K0 cable routing at seat tracks ?
Post by: gobbleplease on November 19, 2012, 06:02:26 pm
Well I installed my RNS 510, MDI kit and 5K0 Bluetooth and mic kit today and all went perfectly
The only thing is I wasn't really happy with the Bluetooth cable routing to below the seat.
All was fine down the Center console but when I exit the lead at the seat tracks I put it between the runners, obviously this mean that when you slide the seat back and forth the seat pillar supports will move the cable about when it reaches its movement limits - it's not really a problem as I've left slack to allow for this but I'm still not 100% happy of the location
Any suggestions  ?

Have you put it under the carpet?

It should be under carpet

I did install on passenger side, it was a lot easier to route wiring.

Naw I just ran it up the side of the centre console and then down over the runners between the seat legs / posts, it's not in any danger getting run over as its tied up, ill have a look tomorrow at the carpet and maybe run it underneath and pop it up underneath the seat like you said cheers buddy

There is a cut out where the plugs for the seats go. I think mine pops out there
