Title: Has anyone fitted the mk6 bilstein b8 dampers To a mk5 ?
Post by: gobbleplease on November 20, 2012, 10:31:29 pm
They are supposed to be a better ride ? Has anyone used them on a mk5 yet ?
Experiences please ? Is the damper body exactly the same as the mk5 for easy fitting.

I think some have yes. The ride is hardly bad on the Mk5 kit though.

They fit that is for sure.

Yea I've had them before and thought they were great, not on the mk5 right enough !
Bit of a pointless exercise then ? Just go for the standard B8s

I would do, people say they are softer but they are meant to be performance suspension, the Mk5 B8 kit isn't harsh so I'd fit them if I was just getting dampers and springs.
