Hey guys, i have read a lot of reviews on here for all the intakes. Im going to be purchasing one this week and would like an overall feel for which may suit me the best
Budget - no more than £300
Dont mind if it new or part used
Do like a bit of induction noise - (not too loud like its trying to suck off my engine)
Only going to stage 1 for now- and staying there for 6 months (well try)
Any input would be great......Thanks :notworthy:

I expect that you have already read my review on the Forge Twintake for K03 but it also includes some general intake info.
Just in case you haven't read it: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,9988.0.html
Just trying to help your choice, not trying to encourage you to get a Twintake. :happy2:

Ross read Robins review on cai, enough said buddy forge or itg both about the same :happy2:
-
If £300 is your budget then theres only one intake for me, tried, tested and proven, the evoms. Looks sweet aswell :happy2:
-
Evoms is a great kit. Neuspeed is fantastic value for money. The new Revo/pipercross filter looks promising too. Not sure on the price. I should know as I sell them!
-
^^^^
But you won't get a new Twintake or ITG for £300 - It'll have to be secondhand, which isn't a problem with intakes.
Evoms is a bit cheaper but it's much noisier.

yeah, was going to say the same. For your budget of £300, an Evoms. If you go for a second hand one then either an ITG Maxogen or Forge Twintake.

Can't comment on a K03 but I've had both the Maxogen and Evoms on my Eddy and found the ITG more Darth Vadar (whoosh dish) and the Evoms more "laughing" (cha cha cha), both noisy IMO but no denying eithers ability to get more air in.
:happy2:

Neuspeed is great quality and value for your money but at WOT it sounded like darth vader on a Loud speaker.

Yeah i read your review on the TwinTakes, and yeah it looks and sound the bollocks....but it is hell expensive. and dont know if i will get the best out of it only have a stage 1 on k03.
Just looking for best Value / sound / performance.....£300 is the very max, so if there is one which is half the price then im happy with something like that
-
I'd suggest trying to hear one or two examples in person as the YouTube videos don't do any justice.
I stand by Neuspeed P-Flo

Be careful if you buy a second hand Twintake to make sure you have the filters oriented in the same direction that they were on the previous car as you dont want any debris getting into your turbo.
RR can better explain this than me, I believe there was a fair bit of confusion as to which way round they went originally (and still is in some cases).
Not having a go, but if your going to swear, blank it out a bit!

....It's all explained and illustrated in my review.

^^^^ I have read it (honest) :ashamed:
(Goes off to re read your review)

There is no better value for money than the Neuspeed P Flo. I run one on our GTI and I rate it highly.

Please be aware of what some intake fixings can do:
