2008 27k on clock with mild remap upto 180 and now the dreaded siren noise is here as per research its only audible at low speed.
Some say it's normal sone say it's bearing I don't know what to do!

I appoligise for this...
Sure your not just being followed?

its a well known problem on the 140PD, usually caused by failed turbo bearings. It will get worse over time and usually requires a new turbo to be fitted.
-
I would replace it, mine went pop without any symptoms and mine was only on 21k i think!
-
But what causes the failed turbo bearings? I was told reliably that it was due to the oil feed/return getting blocked with crap oil sludge??
-
I've had my "police Siren" "Owl" noise for 40,000 miles so far... Everyone I spoke to says its normal
-
My 140 has been doing it for a while too. I have a recon turbo to fit, just haven't gotten round to it. Lol.

how much did it cost you? what did u go for and has the siren noise finished now?
-
midland turbos are very good standard turbos
-
I think mine was about 1.1k with a new turbo, intercooler and pipework etc. mine never made any siren noise, just exploded when overtaking. It still whistles but thats quite normal on many diesels
