Does canbus need to disconnected for this update??

No it does not but if you are upgrading from the previous 0.2.7 version, all your stored user parameters will be erased and need reinstalling.

Just make sure you choose the correct firmware on the download page as there are different ones for the red and coloured/white mfd.
