Title: Evoms DV For 2.0TFSI S3/Edition 30/Cupra/R
Post by: Phil_T on November 25, 2012, 05:41:39 pm
As above does anyone know where I can buy one from, Regal are useless & say they dont even make one for my car but they 100% do.

Am not sure if its the same as the older 1.8T engines though?

Any help where to buy one from other than Regal?

I think gazon got his off his brother in law (might be wrong tho) and that came off craigs old golf so i imagine steve should know where it came from unless it was put on after the car was sold?

Here yo go Phil, these are the same as mine. Although they are listed for the 997 these are the ones. Only drawback is they come in pairs and there not cheap.  Dont know if anyone else is interested on here to split the cost. Worth asking i suppose. http://www.evoms.com/marketplace/ViewProduct.asp?Now=11%2F26%2F2012+3%3A49%3A30+AM&ProductID=%7BC25FF094%2D7594%2D4967%2D96C9%2D900002E2C549%7D&OrgID=%7BCA5E16BC%2DD877%2D4137%2D8237%2D7EB9084DD3D8%7D&ParentID=%7B04C558EB%2D72A9%2D44CB%2DB49D%2DD7B3BE772628%7D&Curr=%7B04C558EB%2D72A9%2D44CB%2DB49D%2DD7B3BE772628%7D

So how does the engine retain it's electronic control over that one then?

Seems a bit like the Forge solution.

Seems like a waste of money if you ask me. Unless you are running mega power!

you leave the original plugged in to the electrical socket and just tie wrap out of the way. This way you dont get any lights coming on. It may be a waste of money to some people, but as i didn't pay anything for mine i may as well use it. Saves any hastle in the long run. And gives a nice little chirp.
