2. When I drive car till hot then say go into shop come out and start takes a fair few ticks over then starts anyone had same issue
Any help would be ace cheers lads n girls :-)

For the first issue,do you have a sunroof?
It could either be blocked sunroof drains,or more likely, blocked drains from the scuttle panel.Check the area around the corners of the scuttle panel under the windscreen for leaves and debris.
The second issue could be anything from a sensor fault to knackered plugs or the battery is on its way out.
Does the car have a full VW service history,so you can look and see when the plugs were last changed?
If you know someone or a garage with Vagcom or a diagnostic reader get them to plug it in and see if it returns any fault codes.

Nope it's non sunroof and its only at the bottom area where it meets dash :(
And it's a diesel tdi se 1.9 mk5 it has vw till 104 tho miles them its got a normal garage stamp
Been informed could be cooling temp sensor or diesel filter or battery :(
Yeah had my mates blue fin throws up no codes

1. could be the pollen filter to be changed
2. my car does the same on warm start ive changed the glow plugs, battery etc and still does it mechanic said it was normal as alot of people with diesels on here have had the issue and not fixed it.
does it start first timeon cold start?
-
Yeah mate instant start dint even need to leave it a few seconds but once temp is up its rubbish to start :(
Yeah going to change couple sensors engine temp sensor and coolant temp see if that helps :)
My mates skoda done it and he changed everything n still done it :( common fault on all diesels it seems :( but only past week mine has done it :(

yh its a common problem with warm starts let me know if you find out the fault may help others on here with the same warm start issue :happy2:

Isn't the pollen filter on the passenger side behind the glovebox? Surely that wouldn't be the cause of the 'leak'

His was fixed with new battery. But also checkout the starter motor.
