Hey,
Was told the other day one of my tyres need replacing on my GTI. So i was wondering if anyone could recommend a place to get them from?
Also if anyone could recommend a tyre brand I should buy that will last for a good amount of time for around £80. i don't need anything too fantastic as I don't really rag the car around at all. The car is completely standard and hasn't been remapped. Would need 18" tyres. I'm not too sure how much tyres go for as i've never had to buy one yet for my car.
Any help appreciated :)
Thanks
Craigh

camskill.co.uk have a peruse, bought my last 6 pairs of tyres from there :happy2:

you should swap the tyre for the same tyre that is fitted to the other side.
Camskill is generally the cheapest, but every now and again BlackCircles will have offers on fitted tyres that are impossible to beat. also look around for offers at other outlets such as Kwik Fit and the like.
just have a shop around. if you're on a budget how about a part worn from eBay?

Camskill are very good, quick delivery too

I've used Elite Direct on a few occasions - service has always been very good.

Are there any good budget range tyre brands at all? I've seen them continental ones everywhere but not too sure how good they are?

I have used both Camskill and TyreShopper and both are very goodIMO. Camskill just deliver and are subsequently cheaper but through Tyre Shopper you organise to have them fitted at a location of your choice, price wise they are the same in the end once you add in the fitting cost.
Many, many threads on tyres and which is best, cheapest etc on the forum, just use the "Search". Conti Sport, Goodyear Eagle F1 2's, Dunlop Sport Max, Pirelli's and Michelin's are all very good.

Black circles emailed me today, doing some good prices in december

Think i'm gonna go for the Uniroyal Rainsport 2- Got good reviews!

Try tyreshopper.co.uk
They were cheapest fitted price I could find for Goodyear Eagle Assymetric 2's. Have recommended them in 3 posts in 2 days
Try the search button for more recommendations :happy2:

Camskill have a good price on Assy 2's just now. www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s134p105410/Goodyear_Tyres_Car_Goodyear_Eagle_F1_Asymmetric_2_-_225_40_R18_92Y_XL_%28R1%29_FP_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_E_Wet_Grip%3A_A_NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_70dB
I had rainsport 2's and they were great in wet, but bit squirmy in the dry. They wore out quick too, but i'm sure they come with 9mm of tread.
I went for PS3's in July as they had them down at £105
